The Veggie Grower and the Rich Man

The following was sent to me by a friend of mine via email....

It is the month of August, on the shores of the Black Sea. It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.
Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.
He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to choose one.
The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.
The butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig grower.
The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.
The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit.
The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Euro note to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.
The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.
At that moment, the tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.....

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

This is my reply to his email -


OK, lets try this.......
Everyone is hungry because they have no money to buy food.
A rich man comes to town and puts money on a hungry hotel owners counter.
The hungry hotel owner pays the butcher what he owed but is left with no money for food so he is still hungry.
The hungry butcher pays the pig grower what he owed but is left with no money for food so he is still hungry.
The hungry pig grower pays the fuel and feed supplier what he owed but is left with no money for food so he is still hungry.
The hungry fuel and feed supplier pays the prostitute what he owed but is left with no money for food so he is still hungry.
The hungry prostitute pays the hotel owner what she owed but is left with no money for food so she is still hungry.

Everyone is debt free but they still have no food.


The next week, the rich man (who works for the federal reserve bank) comes to town and puts money obtained from thin air on the hungry hotel owners counter.
The hungry hotel owner buys food from the butcher and is no longer hungry.
The hungry butcher buys food from a fruit supplier and is no longer hungry.
The hungry fruit supplier buys veggies from a veggie grower and is no longer hungry.
The hungry veggie grower pays the hotel owner for a room while she is in town selling all her veggies to the fruit supplier but is left with no money and no food (she had to sell all her veggies to pay her debt) so she is still hungry.
The hotel owner places the money back on the counter and the rich man takes it after not liking the rooms.
The rich man leaves town with the money.
Three people are temporarily not hungry, but the veggie grower is now desperate for food.
A month later, there are no rich tourists and everyone is hungry again through lack of money in their community. The poor veggie grower is dying of starvation.....
In desperation, the town gets together and decides to pool their resources. They are a working class community and are tired of being controlled by rich men who rule with their monopoly money, determining when they can and cannot eat.
They decide that they are no longer going to rely on printed money for survival so they get together and decide to share their food and the other resources they have.
The hotel owner gives the veggie grower some of his land in order for her to grow veggies and in return, she gives him some of the veggies she grows.
They invite the butcher and the fruit supplier to contribute some of their food and they prepare meals together which feed them all. Nobody is hungry and more and more of the community come together, pooling their resources together for the good of everyone, restoring a vibrant and healthy community.

Soon, the rich man comes back to town and visits the hotel owner. He puts his money on the counter and asks the hotel owner for one of the rooms he inspected last time. However, the hotel owner looks at him and says, “Sorry, we do not use money any longer”.
The rich man, dumbfounded, says he really needs that room because he's in town for an important conference in a days time. The hotel owner replies, “We're more than happy to accommodate you if you are happy to contribute to our economy with some manual labour in preparing food for our next feast day”.
The rich man replies, “But my schedule is filled. I have no spare time left. This job that I do requires much of me”.
The hotel owner replies, “Well then, I guess you'll have to find somewhere else to stay. However, I will save you some time and let you know that our entire community has now abandoned printed money in favour of working together”.

The rich man, after deciding he has little choice, helps the community in preparing food for their feast day and ends up in a wonderful conversation with the veggie grower who tells him about how she came to be a veggie grower. The rich man is so moved by this community that he abandons his stressful 'career' and joins the local community as a farmers hand.


This is the story of the veggie grower...

She was well known in the community, scorned by some and adored by others. You see, she used to be a strongwoman with a very muscular physique and worked as a professional dominatrix, earning quite a large hourly income due to her unique strength and intimidating appearance. Being the kind of woman who loved to research things and having significant amounts of spare time, she took to studying so called 'conspiracy theories' which always fascinated her. This lead her to researching the whole entanglement of the 'Illuminati' and the 'New World Order'. What she discovered shocked her. Even though her own involvement in the seedy underground had opened her eyes to what goes on behind closed doors (she even went as far as painting satanic symbols on the road outside a certain Christian home using home made napalm and set it on fire, melting the symbols permanently into the road!!), she could not fathom that such an influential and corrupt elite power could exist, yet the more she researched this, the deeper and deeper the web went and the more she uncovered. She became totally engrossed by all she was learning.

Then one evening, while she was doing her research, she stumbled across a website which had all manner of writing about God on it. She was about to leave it, not wanting anything to do with what she saw as 'Christian nonsense', but something inside her compelled her to start reading.
As she read, she thought, “Hmmmm.... what if this God stuff is right?”
The man who ran the website had written a book which she decided to purchase and read. The book arrived and she read it, discovering that the author also had a Yahoo group which she then joined.
Feeling compelled to know more about God, she started asking this man questions and sent him some information on her history and her work as a dominatrix to which he replied, “Oh dear! You have committed unforgivable sins and will be condemned to hell. There is nothing you can do I'm afraid!!”
Well, this devastated her and she was in tears. She could not believe that this God, who she had heard was supposed to be so forgiving, would condemn her to hell!!

In distress and anguish, she went into her room and cried buckets of tears, crying out to God to show her if this was true. She was desperate for an answer! Well, she got her answer and she also found out that the website was run by a dangerous false prophet who calls himself 'Jah'.
God directed her to find her bible and start reading it. She had no idea where it was. She had not opened it for 20 years, and even then, she had not really read much of it at all and understood even less, but when she went searching, there it was on top of the very first house moving box she opened!!

Now the bible is a very large book and she had no idea where to start. Once again though, God intervened and she started reading from the book of Acts in the New Testament.
Suddenly, she was filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit and the words started coming alive! For the first time ever, she actually KNEW that what she was reading was, and is, real. She could feel the incredible joy of the true love of God as she cried out to Him for His forgiveness and mercy for the sinful life she had been living. He answered and poured out His grace and His love in such a powerful way that her tears of anguish turned to tears of joy!

She KNEW that Jesus not only walked this earth 2000 years ago but He was indeed raised from the dead by His Father and is alive and well right now and will be for eternity! From that moment on, she was a totally changed person, being born of the Spirit of God and adopted into Jesus' family. She no longer had any desire for the things of the world and its deceptions and schemes. She was now a true disciple of Jesus Christ and she longed to get to know Him and learn all she could from Him, singing praises to Him from the very depths of her heart for the unfathomable work He did, bearing all the sins of the entire world upon Himself to the point of a gruesome death on a cross as the only man who has ever, and could ever, fulfil the laws and requirements of His Father, our Creator. He became quite literally the only acceptable sacrifice for all of our sins, from little tiny lies to murder. No sin is acceptable to God and ANY unforgiven sin separates us from God for eternity.

So, how was it possible for Jesus to become the atonement (the reconciliation of God and man) for our sins? Well, when He became human, He was born not of a human father. His Father is Yahweh (God the Father). His human mother, Mary, conceived Him not through human contact but through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is therefore the pure first-born Son of the Father who also became fully human through Mary. Sin entered the world through the first man, Adam, having been lead by Eve's sin after she was first tempted and gave in to Satan. This was the birth of sin causing every descendant of Adam (including you and I) to inherit sin. Jesus was therefore the only human to walk this earth who could both be tempted by Satan and overcome him, which He did.

(Satan is the father of lies and deception and has most of the world believing the planet is more than 6000 years old despite all the conveniently ignored scientific evidence to the contrary!)

So, what then does Jesus ask of us? He asks that we first of all believe in Him, place our trust in Him, repent (turn) from our sinful lives being made aware of the truth, seek His forgiveness and ask Him to be our teacher, our guide, our best friend, our Lord and our Saviour, following Him faithfully and LOVING Him with all our heart. Then, to also love others as He loves us.
If we follow Him faithfully, He will save us from eternal torment and will grant us eternal life with Him, filling us with the Holy Spirit and teaching us directly and personally as we get to know Him.


Now the woman, having heard the truth, accepting Jesus as her Lord and Saviour and having been forgiven of all her sins, gave up her seedy, underground lifestyle and became a veggie grower!!


The testimony of this woman is true. In reality, she did not become a veggie grower, but she is now a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ.
If you haven't already realised, I know this to be true because what you have just read is my testimony!


If you are curious about any of this and you want to know more, PLEASE take action. You are hearing God's calling. Do not ignore Him. Call out to Him and ask Him to answer your questions. It doesn't matter what words you use. He looks at your heart. Get a copy of His Holy written Word (the Holy Bible) and read it. Don't worry if you are initially a little confused and have many questions. Jesus will guide you and will be your personal teacher.

Always remember though, Jesus is your teacher. Others can inspire and help you but only Jesus knows the full picture and only He can save you from eternal destruction! You can look to others for fellowship but always look to Jesus for the answers. He doesn't make mistakes!


Oh, and if anyone is reading this and is contemplating setting up a community like the one I described above, let me know. I'd be more than happy to work as a veggie grower!!! .....and, in case you are wondering, I do eat meat too!

So, why do we need Jesus?

As we have seen, Jesus became human but unlike us, He lived a perfect, sinless life.
Right now, you may be asking, "What have I done that is so bad?!"

Have you ever;

• Told even the smallest lie to anyone?
• Lusted after anyone, ever?
• Despised anyone?
• Stolen anything, no matter how minor?
• Not LOVED GOD?

If so, you have sinned and fallen short of God's standards and He is a righteous judge!
His original ten commandments, given to Moses at Mt. Sinai, still apply today and will forever.
Jesus gives an explanation of these requirements in Matthew chapter 5.
As you will see from seeking Jesus own words, sin prevents us from entering God's kingdom when we die.

Jesus Christ is the only one who ever walked the earth completely free from sin but, He was punished by His Father, Yahweh, at the hand of the Jews in Israel for every one of OUR sins!
He suffered a gruesome death and was beaten, flogged, spat on, ridiculed, scorned, NAILED ALIVE TO A CROSS and His blood was poured out!

Three days later, He was resurrected from death by Yahweh (God, the Father) and walked the earth again physically for more than a month during which time He spoke with His Apostles and early disciples proving that He really IS the Son of God.
He then ascended into Heaven and will return soon!

Acts 2:36-38
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do"?
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Acts 17:30-31
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.

John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
